Sharpening Rings for CBN and Diamond Grinding Wheels – Ensuring Lasting Precision

In double-side surface grinding applications (also known as double disc grinding), high precision superabrasives such as diamond and CBN grinding wheels are used. They deliver excellent productivity, narrow tolerances, and high process reliability. The key to consistent performance, however, is routine dressing using optimally matched sharpening rings (sometimes also called dressing rings).

Precisely Matched for Every Application – our dressing rings are engineered to suit the specific needs of each machine and grinding process – tailored by grain type, grit size, bonding system, and porosity. The aim is to sharpen effectively while minimizing wear on the diamond or CBN wheel.

A feature: integrated grooves. Depending on your machine or tool holder, we offer sharpening rings with three, four, or six grooves to ensure secure placement in rotating carriers (“cages”) and uniform wheel conditioning across the entire surface.
